@@fulltimeabroad We're approaching retirement and did partying in Pattaya on 3 week holidays for years until 2019. This is DEFINITELY our target destination for when the shackles of work fall away. Thanks again for this extremely well-thought-out Hua Hin series. Top work ❤️.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing la casita! It’s one of the airbnbs I’ve booked for our fam for 2025, looks beautiful! 👌 I love the location although it’s a but far from the cicada market, did you ever walk there? I also noticed that 2 week rental was same price as 1 month! Did your hosts ask you to pay any extra fees like electricity for the month?
Thank you! It is a bit of walk, and we actually walked there a few times. Its not so bad in the evening when the heat has gone. It took about 30 minutes. We tried walking along the beach to Cicada, big mistake because the tide get up to the walls of the houses/hotels and then you need to find a path back to the main road lol. If I remember correctly, a grab is about 100 baht. You can take the songthaew, which I believe is 15 baht per person. We usually took a grab or songthaew back (if they were still running) 1 month sometimes get you a monthly discount, so it could be the same price as two weeks., depends on the host. We didn't have to pay any extra fees thankfully. We'll be there in January.
@@fulltimeabroad Thks for sharing. Yes the monthly discount is amazing, certainly more than covers any extra transportation costs. I love walking everywhere but in the heat my 3 kids do not 😂. Have you found that grabs are easily available in hua hin without much wait?
For the most part, grab was ok. I believe there were a couple times where we had to wait 10+ minutes (in the grab app, looked like the driver didn't know where they were going, not sure lol). We didn't use it much because the Songthaew's covered most of the routes for us, mainly the green one. It takes you to the cicada and tamarind market, and goes the other way as well to the center/night market area.
That price is for long term stay. The unit we had didn't have the fastest internet, I remember testing the speed and it was around 50mbps. I suppose it was sufficient though. Thanks for the watch!
I tried to check prices for La casita in Hua Hin for June 2025 (low season) and I did not get the price you provided on your video… It shows almost US$700 monthly for 28 days stay… Can you share how did you get the price you paid?
@@edwardsaunders5529 thats the price for long term rent. Airbnbs at la Casita vary in price. I've seen as low as $600 for 28 days. I suppose a bit of luck is needed
also, Id like to mention that June 2025 might be too far for some listings to offer their unit. I think if you check again beginning of 2025, or late 2024, you might find more units available. If you do book something now, make sure there is a free cancellation so that if you do find something cheaper, you can cancel your previous booking.

Awesome, and this is good to hear! I was thinking of settling in that area, but was concerned because I don't speak the language. So I was thinking of maybe living in Bangkok or possibly even Pattaya for a year or so to try to pick up on the language a little, and then moving to that area.
